According to this article from Realtor.com, multigenerational housing is gaining in popularity and increasing demand for homes with ADUs. This higher demand is pushing those home values higher.

While these stats shift slightly based on specific location and area supply, it’s clear that ADUs, and other housing options that allow for multigenerational living, are increasingly in demand and may add significant value to your home.
