This project pushes the limits for how much can be put in a small space.

The clients for this project wanted to add an ADU above their existing detached garage while protecting their private outdoor space and privacy. And it needed to do this without overpowering their quaint home.

The new indoor/outdoor patio space connects the existing buildings to create a more private outdoor living room while also increasing their entertaining space for hosting friends to chear on their favorite football teams.

The ADU is positioned above the garage, with its entry off the alley to maintain privacy and identity for the main house. Windows are positioned to create light and views to the neighborhood while protecting the back yard.
